Georgian Mahogany Cylinder Bureau Roll Top Desk
Antique Georgian 19C (could date anywhere in the first half of the 19C) mahogany cylinder bureau roll top desk writing table.
This is a truely lovely piece of antique furniture with a lovely age, colour and patina.
Some alterations have taken place over the years, adding to its charm.
Bureaux with cylinder type tops are rare and sought after.
Ebony line inlays, typical of the georgian period.
Great style and proportions.
Would look fantastic in the right location.
All of the drawers slide freely.
This is a heavy item and our delivery driver will need able bodied assistance from the customer to position it in their home.
Overall dimensions 1180mmW x 580mmD x 900mmH (730mmH writing surface).
This piece of antique furniture has had historic knocks, marks, repairs and alterations as one may expect given its age. Most of the ironmongery appears to have been replaced, although the main drawer handles could be original. There is no key. One of the small internal knobs is slightly different. The baize is not new and may have some wear or marks.
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able bodied person for our driver to assist with carrying.
