Georgian Mahogany Chest of Three Graduated Drawers
This antique chest of drawers looks to date from the first half of the nineteenth century. It is made from mahogany and consists of three graduated drawers. The chest is supported on bracket feet. The drawers retain handles, escutcheons and locks but please note that no key is present.
Condition: Overall this attractive chest is in usuable condition, but does have some wear consistent with age and use, and would benefit from some tlc. The drawer runners are stiff and need attention. There is some scuffing, scratching, knocking and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, which is heavy in places, and the piece is overall faded. There are some areas of wood loss in places, primarily to the cock-beading around the drawers. The metalware has some tarnishing and surface corrosion. There is some marking and scuffing to the top. There is some wood shrinkage cracking to one side.
The approx measurements are as follows:
87cm high, 106cm wide, 52.5cm deep (to maximums). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
