Georgian Mahogany Architects Table

1 of 6
This exquisite Georgian mahogany architect’s table is a stunning example of craftsmanship and elegance, in very good untouched condition. Crafted from beautifully aged Cuban mahogany, it showcases a rich, warm colour with a lovely patina that reflects its history and character.
The table features a versatile design, with a drop leaf at the back that can be raised and supported by two sturdy bracket supports. This allows for additional workspace when needed, offering both practicality and style. The front of the table is adorned with a single drawer, which boasts a delicate cockbeaded edge, enhancing its refined appearance. The original lock and brass swan-neck handles further emphasise its classic Georgian design, adding a touch of sophistication to the piece.
The height and angle of the table’s middle section are fully adjustable, making it perfect for use at your preferred working level. Additionally, a removable wooden strip serves as a paper rest or stopper when the tabletop is angled, ensuring your work remains secure and in place.
Standing on beautifully proportioned square legs with chamfered inner edges and single reeded canted corners, this piece exudes an understated elegance. Its combination of form and function makes it ideal not only as a functional architect’s table but also as a charming side table, sure to enhance any room with its timeless appeal.
