Georgian Josias Walker of Ottery Longcase Clock
This antique long-case antique clock is engraved on the dial for Josias Walker of Ottery. We would estimate it to date from the late eighteenth to early nineteeth century, although it looks to have been professionally restored at some point. The clock is housed in a period oak case. It is a 30-hour antique clock. It was working when we removed it from the house, and all parts are present, but please note that we have not tested it and would recommend it be profesionally serviced and set up prior to use.
Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. As is mentioned above it was working when we removed it from the house, and all parts are present, but please note that we have not tested it and would recommend it be profesionally serviced and set up prior to use. The clock has been professionally restored at some point withe some replacements and alterations. The oak case has some scuffing and wear and has a gap to one side of the door where the wood has shrunk over time. There are some signs of old woodwork damage - this is not active but has been retreated as a precaution. The metal parts have some surface corrosion.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 199cm high, 47cm wide, 27.5cm deep (to maximums). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
