Georgian Inlaid Mahogany Sofa Table Pembroke Side
Antique Georgian Regency inlaid mahogany pembroke sofa table, dating from the first 50 years of the 19C.
This is a lovely table, that is full of age, charm and character.
Lovely rare light colour, with inlaid stringing and crossbanding.
No loose joints or wobbles and the mahogany lined drawer slides freely.
Active drawer to one side and a dummy to the other.
Simple stretcher, terminating in period brass castors (some wear as you would expect).
Would look amazing in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions 118cmW (70cmW closed) x 54cmD (plus knobs) x 69cmH.
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, distortion, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. Some historic woodworm holes, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure. There are historic structural repairs, but all is solid and strong now. Later handles. No key and the lock is untested. There may have been alteration to the stretchers and underside.
