Early 19th century Iron 'hog scraper stick',with side candle ejector, named as such due to this form of candle stick being similar to the tool that scraped the bristles off a scalded hog in the early part of the 19th century, the base of this type of candle stick could be and was used for this purpose, if you ever should have that problem.
