Georgian Country Oak Chest of Drawers
This lovely country oak chest of drawers dates from the early nineteenth century. It is constructed from solid oak and consists of two smaller drawers over three long drawers. The chest is supported on bracket feet and retains brass handles and escutcheons (although please note that one of the escutcheons does not match). All the drawers retain locks, but please note that no keys are present.
Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There are some signs old restoration and repair. There is some wood shrinkage splitting to the sides and top. One of the escutcheons is a replacement and does not match. The escutcheons have some wear and one is damaged. No key is present.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 102.5cm high, 100cm wide, 53cm deep (to maximums). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
