Georgian Chest of Drawers

Here we have for sale today a very fine Georgian chest of drawers, dating from about 1780’s. Made from English solid oak with mahogany cock-beaded and cross banded drawer fronts and top. Standing on bracket feet, and having 2 short drawers over 3 long drawers, this is a stunning chest, with original brass key-hole fittings, and original iron locks, having replacement brass swan neck handles, also having a brushing slide fitted below the top 2 short drawers, this is an ideal height to use as a writing slope. This chest is a stunning mellow oak colour with a fantastic finish and polish (please see pictures)
Some evidence of historic woodworm in one board, but it’s a long time dead, and has been fully treated, and is 100% worm free. Solid in all its joints, with no breaks. This chest is in excellent condition considering its age, ready to use and requires NO restoration.
