A superb George III satinwood and mahogany crossbanded Carlton House Desk, beautifully figured and with rich colour. The swept super structure with an arrangement of cupboards and drawers with sliding inset with original tooled leather writing surface above a deep frieze with three drawers, brass handles on tapered square legs on brass castors. This is one of the earliest examples of a Carlton House Desk in existence.
