This is certainly an impressive example of a Georgian bureau, now all cleaned and refinished it is in superb condition. The graining is a lovely colour and the inlays are superb. This mahogany bureau bookcase starting life around 1800 has been well looked after. The bookcase although being paired later comes from a similar period and fits well. The astrigal glazed doors having a most impressive oval detail and the cornice carries swag and tail inlays. This bureau is much neater in size than most Georgian examples and will fit into many a space without being over powering but looking fantastic. The interior is really exceptional too as can be seen in the pictures. The whole bureau bookcase sits on the nice neat ogee bracket feet. A really impressive example for the price of an Edwardian copy. SORRY NOW SOLD We have been in business for 40 years and are now coming up to retirement.
