Georgian 19C oak hall press housekeepers wardrobe
Antique Georgian (or possibly slightly later) 19C oak mahogany press housekeeper's kitchen chest cupboard.
Lovely, age, patina and colour.
A rare, attractive, quality piece of antique furniture.
This is very special and unusual wardrobe cupboard that is inalid with mahogany maple, rosewood and other exotic woods.
This cupboard has a great look, together with a lovely shape and proportions.
Splits into two halves for transport.
The top 3 drawers are faux.
Overall dimensions 1380mmW x 510mmD x 2000mmH.
The hanging space 1200mmW x 1300mmH x 400mmD.
There are no keys and there are historical knocks, marks, repairs and alterations, as you would expect given the age of the piece. There is some historical woodworm, but this has been treated for good measure. Locks on the bottom and middle right drawers, no keys. Scumble glazed softwood sides. There is a later hardboard top (behind cornice) which is not visible. Later handles.
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able bodied person for our driver to assist with carrying.
