Georgian 18C mahogany bureau desk writing table
Antique Georgian 18C / 19C mahogany bureau desk writing table chest of drawers.
Lovely, age, patina and colour.
Great inlay to the fall front and the oak lined drawers slide freely.
Later handles, one lock missing and no keys.
A great look, together with a lovely shape and proportions....a rare find.
Overall dimensions 940mmW x 500mmD x 1050mmH x 760mmH writing surface.
There have been some alterations to the pidgeon holes and trinket drawers. There are some historical knocks, marks, cracks, damage and repairs, as you would expect given the age of the piece. There are some historic scratches and marks on the on the top, but they are old. There are some historical woodworm holes that have been treated for good measure. There is a tiny piece of a bracket foor missing (see photos) and some extra screws have been added to the feet (from underneath, not on show).
Please note that this desk is too heavy and awkward for one person to carry safely. The customer will need to provide 1 able-bodied person for our driver to assist with carrying.
