George III open Welsh dresser base c.1800. Two plank oak top with a mahogany crossbanded border with ebony and boxwood stringing and an applied moulded edge. Over three large drawers, also crossbanded, with period brass handles (possibly original). Attractively shaped apron, with an inlaid mahogany panel at the centre, continued on the sides and with further inlaid detail beside the drawers. On slim tapering legs ending in a neat block foot. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
