Magnificent!! Solid Mahogany Inlaid Secretaire Cabinet with Butler's desk and secret compartments. Standing on Ogee Bracket Feet. C 1780-1830 it is in superb antique condition. Inlaid and banded detailing, it is a very attractive piece with a beautiful deep mahogany patina. Professionally antique polished.
Standing 46" inch tall (117cm) x 49.5" inch wide (126) and 22" inch deep (57cm), it offers lots of opportunity for display and practical use. 3 Good sized deep drawers below the desk, 2 blind drawers open to reveal a fabulous interior which has a deep red and gilt leather base. The marquetry and banding is in exceptional order, and the secret drawers are all over offering good security. Evidence that the handles have been at some point been replaced.
