George II Style Walnut Silver Table
An elegant and superior quality walnut ‘silver’ or small centre table, made in the late 19th century in the George II style. Finished on all sides to allow it to free-stand in the centre of a room, this would make any equally attractive and useful side table. It features a beautifully carved shaped gallery to the top, above a cushion moulded frieze, and is raised on bold cabriole legs with carved knees and pad feet. There is a single oak lined drawer with brass ‘swan neck’ handle to the front.
Bears label to the drawer lining of the eminent Victorian maker and retailer ‘Spillman & Co. Ltd, Furnishers, 101 St Martins Lane, London’, and is typical of their style and quality.

Condition and Details of Restoration
This table is in original condition, and is structurally completely sound. The polish has been re-finished by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. As ever with antique furniture of this age there are some old marks underneath the polish, but in this instance all extremely minor in our opinion the photographs are representative.
