Here is a very good quality large antique George II English oak tilt top birdcage tripod table, circa 1740. The top is constructed of three pieces of solid oak. The tilt top table has a working hinge and brass locking mechanism, which locks the table into place when horizontal. The pedestal locks into the brass locking mechanism. The table features a birdcage structure and the top rotates 360 degrees. The top is detachable from the base and is connected with the original wooden wedge.
