Emanuel Burton Jnr of Kendal. Oak Longcase Clock
A 30 hour brass faced dial Geo 111 longcase clock signed Emmanuel Burton Junior Kendal. The dial has superb engraving to the centre with a date dial, an original feature are the two 'dummy' winding holes, often used to give the appearance of an expensive 8 day antique clock, these holes have the original blanking plates riveted behind,
The oak case with 'swan neck' pediment and dentil moulding to the hood,
The Burton Family of clockmakers are well documented during the 18 & 19 century.
