A Garden Supplies Store Shop Fitting, Seed Merchant’s Collectors Cabinet

This is a delightful find and very rare thing, it would have been used in a Seeds Merchant to hold the new seasons seeds (long before they came in paper packets, seeds were stored loose and sold by weight.)

The cabinet has 22 drawers or boxes which kept the seeds organised, the variety is painted on the front and the drawers are opened by opening the lift up top allowing the front to fall forward, all but 2 of the drawers still have their tops and catches

The Cabinet is in a brown scumble finish with Gold and Black shadowed lettering, it has a solid pine work top and some of the handles have been replaced. The drawers are 2.5” high inside, 11” back to front and 15.5” wide

A rare piece indeed but with many other uses, this one would be good as a filing cabinet or collectors cabinet it is 53” high, 41” wide an 16” deep
