French Rustic Chopping Block
Super decorative rustic French chopping block, II think, in solid beech and looks to be around circa 1900.
Great character and fabulous swept tripod legs.
This piece could be used as intended, but also would make a great lamp table too.
I have left the block as you see it, but you could feed it with oil or also you could wax it if you wanted a shine.
Measuring:
28'' or 71cm high
17'' or 43cm x 15 1/2'' or 39cm ( approx as it is a slight oval ) Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
