Stunning early 20th.c. French bookcase display cabinet c.1910. Retaining the original and unusual marble top, of excellent figuring and with a moulded edge. Over a two door glazed bookcase with adjustable shelves and useful ‘blind’ cupboard space below. The beautiful tulipwood veneers are arranged symmetrically across the doors and sides with inlaid marquetry work panels and stringing in contrasting timbers. With original crisply cast ormolu mounts at the upper corners, escutcheon plates and below the doors. Raised on short tapering and fluted legs with brass mounts. Excellent colour and condition. Cleaned and polished in our workshops, key supplied.
