Here is an unusual but elegantly designed antique French Louis XV1 revival walnut upholstered couch, circa 1850, in original condition.

Here is an unusual but elegantly designed antique French Louis XV1 revival carved walnut upholstered couch, circa 1850, in original condition. The couch is constructed of walnut, features a straight back with down swept arms that have turned reeded spindle supports to the front of the arms. The couch is upholstered in hardwearing cotton and wool floral embroidered upholstery and a matching braid what we believe to be the original upholstery. The base of the couch is firmly sprung, with the original stuffing, so that you do not sink into the seats but at the same time is extremely comfortable. The couch stands on elegant ring turned and reeded walnut legs to the front and splayed legs to the back.
The couch features a rich walnut brown colour. As its boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This couch would look superb in any drawing, parlour, living room or bedroom. This item would certainly grace any home and are a great investment as they are an extremely functional. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.

Condition Report
This couch is in good original condition. There is some wear to, what we believe is the original upholstery, on the corners of the back of the couch and the back outside edge of the top rail (see photos). Otherwise, the upholstery is in clean condition and is free of any other marks, wear and tear. We do offer a re-upholstery service if you would like the upholstery replacing with a fabric of your choice – please contact us for a quote. The back and arms of the couch are in excellent condition with no splits or lose joints. This item is solid in joint, does not wobble and is ready to use.

A free 14-day “no quibble” returns policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. We will collect the item free of charge from you. We will not accept returns via a courier service (due to experience of damaged items in transit). This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.
