French Bronze and Gilded Bronze Inkwell and Candlestand 19th Century

A large and impressive early 19c French bronze and gilt bronze inkwell, the central chased handle with a pair of candle arms terminating in lion masks, 2 tray wells either side of a raised dish with 2 cut glass inkwells supported on a shaped bronze stand decorated with a finely chiselled running gilt bronze border of putti holding a flaming urn, the whole standing on substantial gilded paw feet.

Original patination and in excellent condition with a small split in the brass banding of 1 inkwell.
