Beautiful early 20th.c. French walnut extending dining table c.1920. Superb parquetry work top featuring figured burr walnut panels with inlaid stringing set with a walnut frame. On a walnut base with gracefully shaped and carved apron and legs ending in a scroll foot. Matching 29″ leaves pull out from each end extending the table from 89″ to a total length of 144″, to seat 14 people. The leaves are a shade darker having been hidden from daylight whilst the main top and legs have mellowed to a lovely honey colour. Excellent condition.
