French 1930's Marquetry Drinks Trolley
Fantastic 1930's French drinks trolley with beautiful marquetry, full fret style gallery to both levels and wonderful large spoked wheels.
Great decor piece and a good size, so it can hold an adequate bar selection and glasses etc.
On the bottom tier, you can see there are three brass bottle supports to keep bottles steady whilst you may be positioning the trolley, which is very important!
The condition is good throughout and it has aged gracefully. Some nibbles to the lacquered finish at the edge of the drop sides, but nothing major and with such a decorative piece, they're not terribly noticeable and part of its age.
The trolley itself is firm and rolls well with the wheels at the ends fully rotating.
Original rubber to the wheels and a good honest piece, ready for service.
Measuring:
24 1/2” or 62cm high
30 1/4” or 77cm long
17 3/4” or 45cm wide with leaves down
29 1/2” or 75cm wide with leaves up
9cm diameter bottle rack Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
