Set of four large early 19th.c. giltwood and toleware pique cierge candlesticks c.1810. Standing 36" tall with a spike on top to hold a large candle in place. Retaining the original green painted toleware dishes (5" diameter) to catch dripping wax, quite a rare feature. Turned baluster columns on triangular bases with carved claw feet. Retaining the original gilding to the front, note how the rear of each is left ungilded. Presented as found in very good original condition.
