An English / Irish Blunderbuss with bayonet fixed to the top of the barrel.Every thing works has it should with a good solid half and full cock. The bayonet spring is good and the bayonet locks securely. The Blunderbuss has the correct ram with the steel worm at its end.The brass barrel is stamped on the side with a number and initials (These are very faint and unreadable.) This weapon may have been one of the many Irish Weapons that in the late 18th century Were surrendered to the Irish government then stamped on the side of the barrel with a number and the initials of the county that it was reissued to. The barrel is also stamped in capital letters after this FLINTLOCK BLUNDERBUSS BRASS BARREL WITH KNIFE.The brass fittings have some nice engraving and still retain traces of their original gilding.The lock has no makers name.Overall a very nice Flintlock Blunderbuss. Post charged at cost.
