Spectacular early 20th.c. double bed c.1920. Five feet wide, big enough to take a 60″ x 80″ queen size mattress. Tall arched headboard and shaped foot with beautifully figured and symmetrically arranged pomelle bubinga wood veneers. Further decorated with heavy cast brass mounts in the form of a floral spray and thick twisted cords with tassel ends. Solid hardwood frame and sides. Raised on turned legs at the foot end with further brass mounts and feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
Please note we have two of these beds available. They are part of a stunning suite of matching bedroom antique furniture comprising the beds, two pairs of bedside cabinets, two wardrobes and a dressing table.
