A charming and highly decorative two-seater sofa with painted and gilded frame. The sofa is in the French Louis XVI style of an elegant neoclassical design, but is English in manufacture. It stands on turned, tapered and fluted legs with foliate carving to the arms, and a trailing ribbon framing the base and back. The whole is in very good condition with all original French grey paint and gilding. The upholstery is old and has one or two marks but is however still in a very useable condition. A beautiful little thing, highly decorative and yet extremely functional. C.1900.

Where charges are made for delivery we try to be as cost effective as possible on your behalf. Deliveries can be organised all over the world so please do ask wherever you are.
