Fine quality French bureau plat writing table
Very fine quality and decorative French louis xv style "bureau plat" writing table in mahogany and with
burr walnut panels.
Three full depth drawers with working locks and two keys. Circa 1900 and beautifully restored.
The bureau has all of its original brass mounts and they are on all sides, so you can free stand this piece if you so wish.
The rich green and gilt tooled leather top is in lovely condition too. Cleaned and has been revived with beeswax, so it has a beautiful feel and patina.
Being such a good size, this bureau plat lends itself to being used as both a writing table, but could also work well as a dressing table, sofa table or console table too perhaps.
Fabulous piece in great condition, ready to finds its new home!

30” or 76cm high
44 1/2” or 113cm maximum width
25 1/2” or 65cm deep
24” or 61cm kneehole height
Height of seat on the chair example 18” or 46cm Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
