Fine proportioned Victorian mahogany pedestal desk. The nine drawers of a good, hand-cut, dovetailed construction with mahogany linings, the original brass knob handles and working locks. The back and sides are well polished and with a new full hide, green leather insert in wonderful condition. Standing on the original wooden wheel castors and bearing transport labels 'L.B. & S.C. Railway' and 'London & South Western Railway, carriage paid'. Also shown with a perfect matching desk chair.
