Fine Brass Inlaid Secretaire Chest of Drawers Abat
A finely brass inlaid antique French mahogany secretaire abattan chest of drawers with rouge marble top.
This late 19th Century mahogany chest of drawers / secretaire abattan has an original inset rectangular rouge marble top enclosed by a moulded brass beading above an eight drawer fronted chest with brass moulded edges and inset brass inlay with Directoire style square handles.
The second to forth drawer fronts open to reveal a fully fitted maple lined secretaire with leathered fall front and two internal drawers.
Having full length brass fluting flanking the drawers and brass inlaid side this wonderful quality chest of drawers in showroom condition is raised on original turned and brass bound front feet.
Having been restored using traditional methods this chest this chest of drawers is an excellent example of 19th Century cabinet making that will make a fine addition to any home.
