An unusual and fine quality late Victorian chest in intricately carved walnut in Arts and Crafts style. The boarded cover with a moulded border and enclosing a well centrally divided , the front carved with a heraldic shield and floral scroll on a stipple ground and with conforming floral carved sides, on tapered square legs. This is an unusual piece and of fine quality - it may have been made to show the competence of the maker. Crisply carved on all four sides and very solid.

Good untouhced original condition. Various old marks and dents commensurate with age. Split to the interior panel. Solid and sturdy.
