Fine 19th Century Imari Table Lamp & New Shade 19th Century Victorian Imari %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
We are delighted to offer for sale this beautiful 19th Century Japanese Imari porcelain table lamp, in an a slender elongated vase shape, which has been, in our opinion, converted from an oil lamp. The base, which has three splayed feet, is beautifully cast, as is the ornate cap and circlet with bell shaped drops around the neck. The lamp is finished by a bespoke shade from the makers of the Downton Abbey, Mr. Selfridge, TV series lampshades.

The shade is in the 'Dorchester' style, has a terracotta brocade crown, a body of gold sateen, soft gold fringe with long terracotta tassels, the whole finished with a matching two-tone braid.

The lamp has been rewired with antique gold coloured braided flex, with all new fittings, including a safer switched lampholder. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Height to top of shade: 26" - 66cm

Diameter of shade: 13" - 33cm

Diameter of base: 6" - 15.25cm

Material: Porcelain and brass

Condition: Excellent. The shade is new.
