Excavated Weapon.
I purchased this weapon many years ago from a second hand market in Glasgow known as the Barras. By repute it was found on Cullodon moor in the early 1940s by members of the Scottish Home Guard who were on exercise on that moor and digging foxholes. It is rusty and pitted overall and in excavated condition. But it is stable. This is a very nice talking piece and probably a nice piece of history.
