This is a large sized Victorian pine and oak tack box. It is most likely estate made for use travelling with horses, either to hunt, race or compete. It is a great size and is lovely and clean inside. The box has a well fitting lid with good strong hinges. The lid itself has oak pieces down the edges for additional strength. The box is a nicely coloured and the natural pine is a good light colour. It is quite heavy as it is obviously larger than the average blanket box. It has two iron carrying handles, one at either side. It is in good condition, strong and great for purpose.

The chest would work well almost anywhere but especially as a larger storage box or coffee table. It would still be great for its original purpose of storing and moving horse rack, but really would be wonderful inside the home. It would hold winter warmer things, Christmas decorations, anything really. It is very spacious and would hide a multitude of things.

The tack box measures 110cm long x 77.5cm x 73cm tall.
