Unusual English Art Nouveau or Arts & Crafts style display cabinet c.1900. Of singular design with a small glazed cupboard over a larger two door cabinet with two glass shelves and sides. Raised on a separate stand with a single drawer and slim cabriole legs joined with a stretcher shelf. Decorative Art Nouveau leaded glazing featuring plant motifs in coloured and textured glass. The organic influence is continued in the marquetry panels on the front inlaid in various contrasting timbers and pewter. Maker unknown but very much in the style of Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple. Excellent colour and condition. Original art nouveau pattern handles and internal fabric lining. Cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
