'william douglas of hawick scotland' circa 1810. A slender solid oak case with swan neck pediment , long door & clean simple case stood on a shaped bracket foot. An understated pleasing antique clock with good unusual movement which strikes at the half hour and hour. Superb fine brass cased weights regulator pulleys and good brass pendulum. Movement serviced & running well. (william douglas recorded working in jedburgh scotland 1811, brian loomes)
