A superior quality Chippendale style mahogany pier bookcase or display cabinet. The top having an architectural pediment with a dentil and moulded cornice above the fluted and carved frieze. The glazed doors with astragal glazing bars and carved detail. The doors open via brass lock and key to 3 mahogany shelves. The base section having a bow fronted drawer with applied carved swags and stamped Edwards & Roberts and flanked by further fluted panels. The whole standing on 4 square and tapered out swept legs with a shaped under tier and panelled back. Dimensions:- Max.Height...75.5’'/ 192cm. Width…27.5’'/ 70cm. Max.Depth…16.5'’/42cm.
