Superb Edwardian Sheraton Revival mahogany Wellington chest of five drawers, of wider and lower than usual proportions, having satinwood banding to the top and drawer fronts, and boxwood line inlay to the frieze and pilasters, with locking bar pilaster to the right and raised on a plinth base.

The polish has been re-finished by our own polishers, by hand in the traditional manner. The handles are replacements of an appropriate design, using the original holes so there is no ‘handle problem’, i.e. unsightly marks on the drawer fronts left from previous handles. The locks and hinges are original, but have been cleaned. There is a small part of the bottom of the back panel which has been replaced (see photo). Item code as161a400 / A8760 Status Sold
