Exceptional Edwardian mahogany low linen press or sideboard by the acclaimed English cabinet makers Edwards & Roberts c.1905. Well figured solid single piece mahogany top with satinwood crossbanding and a moulded edge. Over two beautiful marquetry inlaid doors opening to reveal four sliding shelves, flanked on each side with four drawers of graduated depth. Inlaid and crossbanded drawer fronts with original brass knobs. Raised on turned bun feet. Solid mahogany sides and drawer linings. With a clear maker’s stamp to the top of the two top drawer fronts. A few old marks to the top, otherwise excellent original colour and condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
