Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Mirrored-Door Wardrobe
This lovely wardrobe dates from the first part of the twentieth century. It is constructed from mahogany, some solid, some veneered over solid wood. It has lovely satinwood and ebony inlays including classical decoration to the top panels. The wardrobe has a central mirrored door which opens to reveal two more modern front-back hanging rails and three hanging hooks. Beneath the wardrobe section is a single drawer. The wardrobe door retains its original twist handle and lock, although please note that no keys are present, and the bottom drawer has replacement handles. The piece is supported on a plinth base.
Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. It shows signs of restoration, including some more modern wooden batoning across the back. The inside hanging rails have been replaced and the hooks have been moved. There is no key present.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 197cm high, 126cm wide, 49cm deep (to maximums). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
