Early Cornish Serpentine Door Porter
A lovely tactile, example of an early Cornish, serpentine door porter.
The brass lifting ring and additionally the very distinctive colouration lead us believe that this piece is an early one.
The later ones often having a very bright gold colour lifting ring and the production of the brass casting is often finer.
This particular veined & mottled material used in larger pieces was more specific to earlier items.
