Impressive early 19th.c. oak tavern settle c.1810. Six feet long with a good backrest with four raised, shaped and fielded panels over shaped arms on turned supports. Unusual shaped apron below the seat, continued on the sides, and raised on turned front legs ending in pad feet. Later boards below the loose seat cushion which has been freshly upholstered in a soft tweed fabric. Otherwise original with a particularly good colour and patina to the woodwork. Simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
