Early 19th century Gillows mahogany serving table
Good late 18th to early 19th century solid mahogany serving table in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster, probably made by them as it is their quality. Wonderful grained mahogany used throughout especially on the top.
Typical Gillows type elegant finely reeded legs with reeded decorated panels / patera above. The thick top has a triple reed around the edge.
Brass rail to the back which is period but possibly not the original one as there are slightly larger rings outside the current one.
The whole piece stands very well and is a lovely rich colour and patination from years of waxing.
SIZES 5 foot long by 19" wide by 36" high to the surface and 52" high including the gallery.
The nice feature of this table is its narrowness.
