Early 18th Century Walnut Chest of Drawers
Early 18th Century English Antique Walnut Chest of Drawers. Circa 1720 - 1730.
This is an exceptional and rare antique walnut veneered chest of drawers. It is of small size and has superb patination and colour.
The top is quarter veneered in figured walnut and has geometrical herringbone stringing and a crossbanded border. The facing edge of the top is flat and rounded on all 4 corners and crossbanded in walnut also.
The drawers have each been veneered in 4 sections of figured walnut with crossbanded borders.
Original oak drawer linings.
The handles are old replacements, correct in style for the period.
Condition: Excellent.
Height: 81 Centimetres Width: 87 Centimetres Depth: 58 Centimetres
