A quality drop dial fusee wall antique clock. A mahogany case with the original side carvings. A cast brass bezel surround with convex glass to the domed dial. A 12" painted dial signed ' E Cattaneo & Co Stockton' with blued steel hands. A side door and an opening bottom door. A brass surround to the visible glass pendulum aperture with brass inlaid decorations. An 8-day duration timepiece fusee mechanism with a nicely engraved pendulum top. Circa 1840.

The Cattaneo family of clockmakers in Stockton are recorded in Loomes 'Watch and Clockmakers of The World ' book as working from 1831-1856.
