We are pleased to offer for sale this very attractive Chinese style Bronze Table Lamp and Shade. The lamp was made for electricity and bears the makers mark E & Co. incised into the base. The E is an ornate capital letter, as shown, but we have been unable to trace any information about the maker

The Lamp has a stepped circular base with a reeded surmount. The socle is pierced and the main vase form body is also pierced and has side handles with dragon heads, each holding a ring in their mouths. Above the main body are two further reeded socles reducing in size. The base is cast iron weighted.

The new shade is in a coolie style and is covered in pleated faux silk in an oyster colour.

The lamp has been newly rewired with pale gold braided fabric covered flex in the antique style and has a new plug. As with all electrical items it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Height to top of shade: 22 inches - 55.9cm

Diameter of shade: 14 1/2 inches - 36.85cm

Diameter of base: 5 3/4 inches - 14.5cm

Material: Bronze

Condition: Excellent. There is no damage and the base is in very good clean condition. The shade is new.
