Dresden Porcelain Monkey Band Figure Bassoon
A sweet late 19th century Dresden porcelain monkey band figure of a bassoon player (instrument broken). Finely painted dressed in a green jacket with pink breaches and patterned waistcoat with turban style head covering. to the Underglaze blue crossed swords marks to base and incised numerals.
He measures 13cm (5 1/8") high and 5.5cm (2 1/8") wide.
Condition: the instrument is broken off either side of his hands and the feather on the front of his headdress is restored. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
