A sweet late 19th century Dresden porcelain monkey band figure of a bassoon player (instrument broken). Finely painted dressed in a green jacket with pink breaches and patterned waistcoat with turban style head covering. to the Underglaze blue crossed swords marks to base and incised numerals.

He measures 13cm (5 1/8") high and 5.5cm (2 1/8") wide.

Condition: the instrument is broken off either side of his hands and the feather on the front of his headdress is restored.
