A fantastic 19th-century Indian dowry chest of generous proportions. The chest is reinforced with iron banding. The chest has large wrought iron handles to the side and hand-forged hinges to the top to give it a wonderful rustic feel. The chest top lifts to reveal a top compartment with a small door to the front to reveal a large bottom compartment. This chest is full of character and in great condition for its age.
