A superb burr walnut bureau bookcase in the early Georgian style and of compact proportions. Dating from circa 1900 and of fine construction in solid walnut and attractive burr walnut veneers onto an oak carcas. The glazed top section has a double dome top and a pair of glazed doors (lockable key supplied). The doors open to access the interior which has 2 adjustable shelves. The bureau itself has a lockable fall front which opens to reveal a fitted interior with a leather writing surface. Beneath this are a series of 4 graduated drawers all fitted with their original brass handles. This excellent bureau bookcase is offered for sale in excellent condition with a lovely mellow colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home.Separates into two sections for ease of installation.
